There are a mix of function prototypes with and without extern
in the kernel sources. Standardize on not using extern for
function prototypes.
Function prototypes don't need to be written with extern.
extern is assumed by the compiler. Its use is as unnecessary as
using auto to declare automatic/local variables in a block.

D1 and D2 macros are mostly uses to emit debugging messages.
Convert the logging uses of D1 & D2 to jffs2_dbg(level, fmt, ...)
to be a bit more consistent style with the rest of the kernel.
All jffs2_dbg output is now at KERN_DEBUG where some of
the previous uses were emitted at various KERN_<LEVEL>s.

Space allocated for int_name_<foo> is insufficient for
maximal device name, expand it.
Code to create int_name_<foo> is obscure, simplify it
by using sprintf.
Found by looking for unnecessary \ line continuations.

Add some more subjective --strict tests.
Add a test for block comments that start with a blank line followed only
by a line with just the comment block initiator. Prefer a blank line
followed by /* comment...
Add a test for unnecessary spaces after a cast.
Add a test for symmetric uses of braces in if/else blocks.
If one branch needs braces, then all branches should use braces.

Argument alignment across multiple lines should match the open
parenthesis.
Logical continuations should be at the end of the previous line, not the
start of a new line.
These are not required by CodingStyle so make the tests active only when
using --strict.

Some messages that were prefixed with <foo>_close are
now prefixed with <foo>_fini. Some ah4 and esp messages
are now not prefixed with "ip ".
The intent of this patch is to later add something like
#define pr_fmt(fmt) "IPv4: " fmt.
to standardize the output messages.
Text size is trivially reduced. (x86-32 allyesconfig)

isdn source code uses a not-current coding style.
Update the coding style used on a per-line basis
so that git diff -w shows only elided blank lines
at EOF.

tidspbridge when built as a module is named bridgedriver.
bridgedriver is not a particularly good module name.
tidspbridge is what the source is named. That seems
a more appropriate module name too as it describes
the hardware function better.

Use pr_debug to allow dynamic debugging to work.
Move an #endif to allow brcmf_dbg_hex_dump
to be outside the #if/#endif block.
Move a const char* declaration to be inside a
pr_debug so the function doesn't need a #if/#endif
block.

It does seem odd though to have a DBG_EMERG and not always
emit it.
What might also be useful for any embedded use is to add
CONFIG_RTLWIFI_DEBUG to conditionally remove all of the
debug logging code to reduce the largish object size.
This reduces the object size by about 1/3 (250KB)
when CONFIG_RTLWIFI_DEBUG is not set.

Improve the checking of arguments to memset and min/max tests.
Move the checking of min/max to statement blocks instead of single line.
Change $Constant to allow any case type 0x initiator and trailing ul
specifier. Add $FuncArg type as any function argument with or without a
cast. Print the whole statement when showing memset or min/max messages.
Improve the memset with 0 as 3rd argument error message.
There are still weaknesses in the $FuncArg and $Constant code as arbitrary
parentheses and negative signs are not generically supported.

email header lines can look like signature tags. It's valid to have
multiple email recipients on a single line but not valid to have multiple
signatures on a single line.
Validate signatures only when not in the email headers.
Clear the $in_commit_log flag when the patch filename appears.
Add '-' to the valid chars in a message header for headers
like "Message-Id:" and "In-Reply-To:".
